Jaden Ivey M/L Than 24.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds

The Pistons are taking on the Pacers. Now, they’re on the road, but we know what this matchup is: A not very good defense against a not very good defense. I’m expecting the pace of this one to be pretty high.

The projection for points, rebounds and assists for Ivey is set at 24.5. I personally have it at 29. I am way north on Ivey, and it’s simply because of the matchup. This is also a team that doesn’t have Alec Burks around any longer, doesn’t have Bojan Bogdanovic around any longer. It did bring in guys but not a ton of usage, and that’s the key piece here for Ivey. Not to mention, he should just be able to cook a Pacers team that has been one of the worst defenses in the league all season.

We have a lot of a buffer. We can take some playing time away and still like this one for Ivey. I fully expect this projection to move up throughout the day. That’s why we’re going more than 24.5 points, rebounds, and assists for Ivey.

Isaiah Hartenstein M/L Than 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Hartenstein was able to take a week off to rest his sore Achilles, and now we’re back today with a projection set at 20.5 points, rebounds and assists. He’s taking on a Philadelphia 76ers team that does not have Joel Embiid, a very different matchup when it’s Paul Reed.

This week off for Hartenstein — who’s listed as probable on the injury report — is a good thing. We know how Tom Thibodeau works in these situations. I’m expecting Hartenstein to get a bunch of minutes. I went with 32, and he’s very likely to play more than that. But even if you want to take a minute or two away, we’re still going to be in sniffing distance of this projection. I’m at 24.5, the projection is 20.5.

This is a nice spot. It’s a great matchup. This is not a full-strength Philadelphia team because no Embiid changes everything. Hartenstein’s rest is going to lead us to the Promised Land.
