We have a two-game slate tonight featuring Damian Lillard’s debut with the Milwaukee Bucks as they host the Philadelphia 76ers without James Harden, followed by the Phoenix Suns visiting the Los Angeles Lakers. Both of these games will be nationally televised on TNT, and you definitely want to get in on the action. With a number of props to choose from on PrizePicks, it can be hard to find the best value, but I’ve got you covered. Let’s take a look at the best PrizePicks NBA player props for tonight.

Tyrese Maxey M/L 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

The 76ers will visit Milwaukee for the season opener and will likely be without James Harden, who is “away from the team” because he wants to be traded. What does that mean for the Sixers? It means Tyrese Maxey’s stock is on the rise. Stokastic NBA projections have Maxey at 30.04 points + assists + rebounds, so right at this number.

OddsShopper’s PrizePicks optimizer likes the over on this prop as it has a 54% expected win rate, and I like it too. In games without Harden last season, Maxey saw a 6% usage increase, a 10% assist percentage increase, and a 1% increase in rebounds. Maxey is going to take a big leap this year, so let’s get these props while they are still low.

D’Angelo Russell Prop M/L 5.5 Assists

The Lakers are coming off a loss on the road in Denver on a night the Nuggets had their 2022 championship ring ceremony. D’Angelo Russell recorded seven assists on 11 potential assists. The Lakers shot 45% while their 2023 average was 48%. Russell had just an 18% usage rate compared to his 22% in 27 games with the Lakers last season.

He averaged 6.4 assists at home last year compared to 5.6 on the road. Russell had seven assists through three quarters and did not record a stat in the fourth as the Nuggets pulled away. Playing at home as 5.5-point favorites against a Suns team that will likely be without Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, the Lakers should come out strong in this one, allowing Russell to hit the over on this prop.

Josh Okogie M/L 20.0 Fantasy Score

Josh Okogie has found himself in a starting role for the Suns after performing nicely in last year’s playoffs. He’s known for his defense, and the PrizePicks scoring caters to that, awarding three points for both blocks and steals. On opening night, Okogie registered 25.5 fantasy points starting alongside Booker and Kevin Durant.

The Suns currently have Booker and Beal listed as doubtful. That leaves 60% usage to be spread out amongst the other starters, and Okogie will get some of that. Stokastic NBA projections have Okogie at 32 minutes and 25.4 fantasy points. This is going to get bumped, but if it stays under 25, I’m still hitting the more button.
