Welcome to the best Sleeper NBA picks and predictions, Tuesday edition. We have four games to pick from today, including Grizzlies-Pelicans highlighted by the return of Ja Morant. However, I’m looking at the 249 total for Bucks-Spurs for some positive EV picks. Victor Wembanyama (Wemby) is out for San Antonio, creating increased opportunities for all. Let’s dive into the best Sleeper Fantasy NBA picks, starting with Devin Vassell.

Best Sleeper NBA Picks & Predictions

Devin Vassell H/L 19.5 Points

The Spurs are 16.5-point road underdogs against the star-studded Bucks in the highest game total of the night. This game may very well end in a blowout, but not before Devin Vassell gets his. Let’s face it, the Spurs have been blown out tons of times this year, giving them a -11.6 plus/minus, the second worst in the NBA, but that has not impacted the minutes much of the young core.

Vassell is averaging 18.3 points in 29.5 minutes per game this season. However, over the last five contests, he’s playing an average of 33 minutes. With Victor Wembanyama off the court, Vassell is averaging 38 points per 100 possessions and a 28.4 usage rate, both team highs by a wide margin. A -6.2 rating on the season, Vassell is up to 5.5 over the last three games and 11.7 swing in the right direction. I’m going to ride the hot streak in a game where he’ll have tons of opportunities to score 20.

Best Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: Devin Vassell More Than 19.5 Points

Jeremy Sochan H/L 1.5 Turnovers

The Spurs rank 28th in turnovers, giving the ball up 15.8 times per game. In the one game they played without Wemby this season, they had 19 turnovers. Jeremy Sochan is second on the team with 2.2 turnovers per game and has an 18.9 usage rating without Wemby on the court.

Using OddsShopper’s Positive EV Bets tool, we see that all other operators have the over juiced between -180 and -185 while Underdog has this projection at 2.0. The Bucks have not forced a ton of turnovers this season, but in a very fast game and some backing from our tools, Sochan loses the ball at least two times tonight. I like this even more if he starts.

Stephen Curry H/L 5.5 Assists

Stephen Curry will try to lead the Warriors to their third straight victory without Draymond Green. Not too long ago, we saw Steph torching Boston in the NBA finals, but this isn’t the same Celtics team. Sure, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford are there, but with the additions of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, and the emergence of Derrick White‘s defensive skills, this team is tough. The Celtics rank third in opponent assists and have allowed just 22.6 assists over the last 10 games, a league best.

In the last three games without Draymond Green, Curry is averaging just 4.3 assists on 6.3 potential assists. For the season, Curry is at 4.4 assists per game. I’m leaning towards Curry opting to shoot more than pass tonight as the Celtics rank 25th in opponent 3PM over their last 10 games. I always check my research with OddsShopper’s Positive EV Bets tool, and sure enough, every book has the under juiced between -130 and -150.
