The UConn Huskies made a lot of NCAA Tournament futures bettors happy with the win over Gonzaga to reach the Final Four on Saturday. But perhaps nobody was more ecstatic than one bettor who now has a chance to win over $300K with a long-shot futures parlay. The last leg needed for the wild bet to cash is a future for the Golden State Warriors to win the 2023 NBA championship.

Wild $300K Futures Parlay Just Needs Warriors to Pull Through
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the bettor put $200 on a six-leg parlay consisting of Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup (+160), Georgia to win the NCAA football championship (-130), Novak Djokovic to win the Australian Open (+110), Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win (+460), UConn to reach Final Four (+260) and the Warriors to win the NBA championship (+750).
UConn was able to reach the Final Four with an impressive 82-54 win over Gonzaga on Saturday night, meaning the Warriors are now the only thing left standing in the way of a $303K payday.
Golden State has had an up-and-down season after winning the championship last year. Battling injuries and issues away from home, the Warriors (39-36) sit in sixth place in the Western Conference. After losing to the Atlanta Hawks on the road last week, the Warriors extended their road losing streak to 10 games. However, they were able to rebound with wins over the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets on the road this past week.
Even after the disappointing loss to the Hawks, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr still said he believes this team is capable of something special this season.
“Love the effort, love the energy. These guys are fight. I believe in them. I believe something good is going to happen with this group. We’ve just got to keep fight and keep moving forward,” Kerr said at the time, per NBC Sports.
The Warriors currently sit at +1200 to win the NBA Championship (on FanDuel). But given the pedigree, it is hard to doubt their group once the postseason begins.
