Brandon Ingram Player Prop: Best Kings-Pelicans Bet (Nov. 22)

Did you see what the New Orleans Pelicans did to the Sacramento Kings on Monday? It was a 36-point beatdown led by a stunning 31-point showing from Brandon Ingram on 11-for-18 from the field and 5-for-5 from beyond the arc. You won’t lose many games if you’re getting that kind of production. But can Ingram run it back? Let’s dive into the Brandon Ingram player prop odds for tonight as we look to identify the best bet for this evening’s Kings-Pelicans game. Just look at that shot chart for Brandon Ingram from Monday. It’s a mess: Ingram made shots from all over the floor, including plenty of low-percentage mid-range looks. That’s Ingram’s game, though — the star wing leads the NBA in mind-range makes per game (3.5) on the third-most attempts (7), beating out the likes of Kevin Durant and DeMar DeRozan in conversion rate. Ingram, now 26 years old, is proving that he deserves the “Baby Durant” nickname. Now the question s is whether he can keep rolling from mid-range tonight.

Ingram’s game translates well against this Sacramento Kings defense. The Kings have been pretty good at defending the paint and the perimeter — they have allowed the sixth-fewest made shots per game in the restricted area (14.9) and the 13th-fewest 3-pointers made per game (12.2). However, they have coughed up the fifth-most made mid-range shots (5.2) and the second-most made shots in the non-restricted paint (10.8). Ingram leads the Pelicans in made shots per game from both zones with 3.5 and 2.5, respectively.

It’s rare that you’ll find me chasing a big night from anyone on the NBA player prop markets, especially in a repeat matchup. Ingram isn’t going to score 31 points on shooting splits of 61/100/100 again tonight — but the good news is that he doesn’t need to. Ingram tallied 31 points in less than 26 minutes of action against the Kings on Monday. Ingram is averaging 33.7 minutes per game and 33.9 without C.J. McCollum.

With Ingram averaging 25.5 points per game without McCollum, we just need an average night from him to go over the 25.5 for -120 at bet365. I personally played the 25-plus for -135 at FanDuel, but that’s likely to disappear well before tip-off. Plus, if you’re new to bet365, you can take advantage of our bet365 bonus code for either $150 in bonus bets after wagering $5 or your first bet paid back as a bonus bet up to $1,000 if it loses. Louisiana residents, I can do you one (or $215) better: you can get $365 in bonus bets just for wagering $1 by clicking here!
