DraftKings Pick6 Predictions for Today’s NBA Slate (February 14)

DraftKings has entered the pick’em game, giving you another chance to take home some real money. Their new product, DraftKings Pick6, is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a 2-6 leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian! DraftKings Pick6 Predictions: Top 3 Plays for Wednesday, February 14

Bam Adebayo M/L 39.5 PRA

With Philly still missing their man in the middle, and Bam Adebayo having a clear edge up front, everyone rushed to bet this over. That’s exactly why we see value in fading Adebayo’s PRA stat as the Heat are getting four points in Philly.

Even without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, Adebayo stayed below this number in last night’s beating of the Bucks. Philly gives up a ton of 3-point looks, which should limit Miami’s overall production down low, with fewer scoring opportunities for Adebayo.

Adebayo has stayed under this number in each of his six games so far in February. Don’t expect that to change tonight.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Bam Adebayo LESS 39.5 PRA

Tyrese Maxey M/L 3.5 Rebounds

Staying in this game, we target the remaining best player on the Philadelphia 76ers. Before Maxey covering two straight, he failed to hit four rebounds in seven of his last eight, and eight of ten.

Philly doesn’t need boards from Maxey, they are a luxury – even without Embiid on the floor. The addition of Buddy Hield should limit Maxey’s overall rebounding performance, and anyone who just saw the past two games is slamming this over.

The reality is Maxey is far closer to three rebounds tonight than he is five.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Tyrese Maxey LESS 5.5 RBD

Jakob Poeltl M/L 12.5 Points

The man in Toronto’s middle was about as shook as the rest of the Raptors when they went up against Victor Wembanyama last night. While nobody on the Pacers is expected to carry 10 blocks tonight against Toronto, the speed of this game could pace Poeltl right out of scoring anything more than 10 points.

The main difference in this game is Pascal Siakam wearing a different uniform, but Poeltl comes in after two straight games of off-nights, at least on offense. He’s averaging just under 11 points per game on the season, only helped by a game or two of variance.

Sure, he’s had games of 14-plus points, even doing so recently, but he’ll disappear offensively in losses to both bigger and faster teams. The latter applies tonight.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Jakob Poeltl LESS 12.5 PTS
