We hit the weekend running with 10 more games Friday night in the NBA. Plenty of teams are playing on the second leg of a back-to-back, with three double-digit spreads. There’s plenty of value to attack on the board as we focus primarily on rebounds.
Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian! Let’s dive into the best DraftKings Pick6 predictions for today’s NBA action. Looking for more NBA pick’em advice? Check out the rest of our NBA articles or our NBA pick’em tools. DraftKings Pick6 Predictions for Today’s NBA Slate
Chet Holmgren M/L 8.5 Rebounds
The Thunder are on a second leg of a back-to-back after last night’s trouncing of the Clippers. Chet Holmgren completed the double-double with 10 boards and faces an 8.5-rebound line against the visiting Wizards. The takeaway from last night combined with tonight will be slam the over, but tread lightly in thinking Holmgren will play 35-plus minutes in what should be a blowout.
The Wizards won’t put up much of a fight since they also played last night, but the blowout potential in this games should limit Holmgren’s overall production — primarily rebounds. He’s only cleared this number in three of seven games this month.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Chet Holmgren LESS Than 8.5 Rebounds
James Harden M/L 5.5 Rebounds
James Harden snuck by this same total last night, finishing with six rebounds in the loss. In fact, he’s averaging 6.1 rebounds in the eight games played in February so far. While this may seem like another smash for the over, this is where strategy in the Pick6 world can pay off rather well.
We’ve seen some volatility with Harden’s rebounds and while he’s just barely averaging six per game, he has a few clunkers in there too. This is the final road game for the Clippers as they take on the Grizzlies as 9-point favorites.
The last time these two teams played, Harden just cleared this total with six boards in a blowout win. That’s not much edge to slam any over and is a smart fade of the field.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: James Harden LESS Than 5.5 Rebounds
Tyrese Maxey M/L 3.5 Rebounds
From one Tyrese to another as the Pacers guard torched our assists play last night. Tonight it’s the 76ers All-Star point guard staying under this total of 3.5 rebounds. In the eight games played in February, Tyrese Maxey is an even split to above and below this number. There’s no true edge in looking at that smaller sample size, but the value comes with betting habits.
Maxey hit four-plus rebounds in four straight games but had a stretch before that missing the mark in seven of eight games. There’s too much volatility to call anything he’s doing in the rebound market consistent. Some people may look at the most recent trend and pound this over, knowing the 76ers have no choice but to keep Maxey on the floor.
He played 35 minutes last night and now faces a tough Cleveland team. Life won’t be easy for Maxey in general against the Cavaliers, so fade the rebound prop to complete the three-play card.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Tyrese Maxey LESS Than 3.5 Rebounds
