DraftKings Pick6 Predictions Today: Less Than Luka Doncic (April 4)

With a focus on Luka Doncic and others, it’s time to continue our DraftKings Pick6 predictions today series. So, yeah, let’s get after it!

It’s now or never for a few teams still in the hunt for an NBA Playoffs spot. The Rockets don’t get a better shot than tonight to close the gap with the Warriors as the two tip off in Houston. Joel Embiid is back for the Sixers who hit the road starting with the Miami Heat. While the Knicks and Kings share the same record, they also need wins to secure or improve positioning.

Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian!

DraftKings Pick6 Predictions Today – NBA Slate

Ivica Zubac M/L 1.5 Blocks

This play has some of the best value we’ve seen with NBA Pick6 plays off OddsShopper. Right away we notice the gap between the implied Pick6 odds of -136 to the true market price of -176. This type of market width is always worth attacking and there’s no exception with this Zubac block play. The Clippers won’t catch anyone ahead of them and now focus the tight lead they have over Dallas and Phoenix. This is a tough matchup for both the Clips and Zubac against the visiting Nuggets.

A 4.5 point home dog, the Clippers are without Kawhi Leonard tonight. They suffer on defense more than anything, and Zubac is more likely to pick up fouls than blocks. Beyond the market width that yields a profit over time, we match how tough the Nuggets front court will be against Zubac. Not just Nikola Jokic either, as Denver should get the better of this matchup.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Ivica Zubac LESS Than 1.5 Blocks

Luka Doncic LESS Than 35.5 Points

Dallas is still working through what may be seen as an underachieving season if they fail to catch the Clippers, compounded with the possibility of falling all the way to the 9 seed. Still, they come off a loss to the Warriors before returning home for the Hawks. These are some of the toughest games to play regardless of standings, the first home game back from a trip.

We’ve seen some recent games where the scoring has slowed down for both Dallas and Luka Doncic, despite getting 30 in a 104-100 loss to the Warriors. This 35.5 point line is not as low as it seems, from the Mavs returning home to Doncic clearing this total just twice over his last ten games. The Hawks may try and push tempo but Dallas isn’t too far off from playing comfortably at that pace. Both teams give up some scoring, it’s just a matter of where the focus is on Atlanta to slow down Luka.

We get a nice edge against the market from OddsShopper. The -136 implied odds beat the -149 true odds, giving us a leg up against the market.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Luka Doncic LESS Than 35.5 Points

Domantas Sabonis M/L 12.5 Rebounds

We find more market edge in this rebound play from Domantas Sabonis as his Kings are in New York. The Knicks are without Julius Randle for the rest of the year and OG Anunoby for at least tonight. They may get Mitchell Robinson in action which further adds strength to the Knicks front court. A combination of Isiah Hartenstein, Precious Achiuwa, and possibly Robinson is enough to take out Sabonis from the rebound market. While he should still be active, Sabonis will be limited enough in this physical matchup at MSG.

The true odds for staying LESS than 12.5 rebounds are -137 so we still get a slight edge sitting at -136 implied odds. We have strong rationale behind a +EV market based approach, all indicating that Sabonis isn’t going to smash this total. Sabonis cleared 14 boards the last time these two teams played, and we expect a heavier focus on the glass for the Knicks.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Domantas Sabonis LESS Than 12.5 Rebounds
