Tyler Herro Lower Than 5.5 Assists

Miami is getting pretty healthy, most importantly with Jimmy Butler, so Herro’s time as the nightly ball-dominant playmaker is probably at an end. That doesn’t mean he’s not going to get shots minutes and shots — he dropped 32 last night playing alongside Butler — but it does suggest the scoring will take center stage and the assists will regress around his season average.

That number is currently 5.2 a game, which is a career high but still below this 5.5 projection. Plus, Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections only have him Herro at 5.0 tonight despite the Heat getting a significant pace up against Indiana. As a result, we give Herro a 59% chance of staying below 5.5 assists.

Luguentz Dort Lower Than 4.5 Rebounds

While Herro faces a team that pushes the pace, Dort and the Thunder are getting the plodding Clippers — which is a given since James Harden is (effectively) running the show there. Now, Alex Caruso being out is giving Dort 30-ish minutes consistently, and the rebounds have been there from time to time. But that amounts to only two games of five or more in the last six, which has dropped his season average right around the projection.

Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have Dort at 4.2 tonight, which puts Dort lower than 4.5 rebounds at a 58% expected win rate. That makes this two-pick a +140 play with a 34% chance of hitting. Of course, keep an eye out on the estimated payouts, as those can fluctuate wildly at DraftKings Pick6.
