The Detroit Pistons got off to an encouraging 2-1 start, but the wheels have since come off and they now sit at a pathetic 2-12. The absence of center Jalen Duren, who went down with an ankle injury a few games ago, has been felt in the frontcourt.
The Pistons just got blown out by the Toronto Raptors last night. They’ll make the short trip back home for tonight, where they’ll face the Denver Nuggets. Duren missed Sunday’s action but has picked up a questionable tag for Monday.
Duren has yet to return to the floor since Detroit’s loss to Philadelphia 10 days ago. He was listed as out for Sunday’s game so the questionable tag for Monday is somewhat encouraging. Head coach Monty Williams hasn’t offered any meaningful insight into the situation.

So is Jalen Duren playing for the Detroit Pistons tonight? I’d say the odds are slightly worse than 50-50. Duren has been out for 10 days, so he should be fresh. The Pistons could seriously use some help from him in this spot as this is their third game in four days.
It’s worth noting that the Pistons won’t play again until next Friday, which would give Duren and the rest of the Pistons several days to get back on track. Williams could opt to punt here, especially against a strong Nuggets team, by holding Duren and others out.
