LeBron James Injury News Shifts Bulls-Lakers Betting Line
Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Lakers were 3-point favorites against the Bulls Sunday. After the news, they are now 6-point home favorites.
It was reported earlier in the week that James was looking to play the final three games of the regular season before the Lakers’ playoff run. But the forward took to social media to slam those reports.
“There wasn’t an evaluation today and there hasn’t been any target date for my return,” he said on Twitter. “I’m just working around the clock, every day(3X a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y’all sources. I speak for myself!”
James has been out for over a month after suffering a foot injury, and it appears that his return is very near. In James’ absence, the Lakers have been held together by Anthony Davis and some strong performances from role players. At 37-37, Los Angeles currently holds the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, hoping to avoid the Play-In Tournament.
LeBron sent out a message to the Lakers’ critics after the team defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-111 on Friday night.
“We hear all the chatter going on behind our backs but then they wanna smile in our faces when they see us!! Man BEAT IT!! Keep cooking they as*es,” James said on Instagram.
While it is unclear whether or not LeBron James will return from injury for the game against the Bulls, the upgraded status should serve as good news for Lakers fans. The Bulls-Lakers betting odds show Los Angeles could very well be seeing James back in action this afternoon.
