The Boston Celtics will stay out west for another road game, this one against the Sacramento Kings. The Kings just took a tough loss to the Utah Jazz last night and will have to bounce back in time for this one. Bettors looking for an NBA same-game parlay for Celtics-Kings must look no further — DraftKings has left too much value on the board, especially for Al Horford and Malcolm Brogdon. Best Celtics-Kings NBA Same-Game Parlay | March 21
Boston Celtics Over 119.5: -185
My expectation of a strong offensive performance from the Boston Celtics tonight underpins tonight’s NBA same-game parlay. Although the Celtics have regressed from their red-hot start to the season, they find themselves in a prime bounce-back spot against the Sacramento Kings. The Kings have done plenty of things well this year, but they rank 25th in defensive rating on the season (115.9) and 27th through the last 15 games (119.1).
Worse, the Kings are playing without rest. The Kings are 8-4 to the over when playing on the wrong end of a back-to-back this year. Meanwhile, the Celtics are 6-4-1 to the over when playing with a rest advantage. The Celtics won’t have to play again until Friday, so expect them to focus on securing a win as they look to assert themselves in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Al Horford 8+ Points: -180
One Celtics player who should have a good game is Al Horford. Horford is averaging 9.9 points per game this season and 12.3 since the All-Star Break. He scored 13 points against the Kings earlier in the season, in no small part due to Sacramento’s inability to defend the corner. The Kings have allowed the third-most corner 3’s per game over the last seven games (4.5), which should benefit Horford more than any other player, as he leads the team in shots made (1) and taken (2) from that part of the floor per game.
Malcolm Brogdon 1+ 3-Pointer: -750
By far the juiciest line in our same-game parlay, backing Malcolm Brogdon to make at least one 3-pointer is an incredibly safe option. Brogdon is averaging 2 3-pointers per game this year and has hit the over in 53 of his 60 appearances (88.3%) — right at the implied odds (88.2%) for this one. He shot 2-for-3 from beyond the arc against Sacramento earlier this year and has made at least one long-distance shot in all of their meetings since his second year in the NBA.
De’Aaron Fox 5+ Assists: -235
We’re taking advantage of three factors here. First, Sacramento’s sky-high over percentage without rest isn’t just because the Kings don’t play defense — their offense steps up, too. Second, Fox averages 0.3 more assists at home and 1.5 more assists than his average when playing without rest. The Celtics have also allowed the 10th-most assists per game to point guards through the last 15 games (10). Fox has beaten this number in all but one of his five career matchups against Marcus Smart and in every game he’s played against interior defender Robert Williams III.
