NBA odds as of 10:30 a.m. ET

The Milwaukee Bucks will face the Memphis Grizzlies on tonight’s singular “early” game, which will go down in Memphis at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Grizzlies are coming off a win over the Houston Rockets last night. The Bucks got a night off but are listing Giannis Antetokounmpo (probable), Damian Lillard (probable) and Khris Middleton on the injury report.

We’ll have to wait for the Grizzlies to drop injury news, but with the All-Star Break looming, I doubt they’ll feel a need to rest key pieces, especially with how shorthanded they already are.

The Bucks are a brutal 21-33-1 ATS this year, which ranks them second-worst in the NBA, while the Grizzlies are a slightly better 26-29. Memphis drops to 10-16 ATS at home, but they’re a decent 8-10 ATS as home dogs. Milwaukee is a bad 9-16 ATS on the road but improves to 8-12 ATS as a road favorite.

Line movement notes: Milwaukee opened as a 10-point favorite, but their advantage has grown by 1.5.

GSW: -125 | UTA: +105
GSW -1.5: -110 | UTA +1.5: -110

The Golden State Warriors will square off against the Utah Jazz late tonight. The Jazz are coming off a tough home loss to the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers last night. Likewise, the Dubs are coming off a tough home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers last night. Both injury reports are TBA, but neither team is dealing with a major injury at the moment.

The Jazz have been a profitable team for spread bettors this year. They boast a 30-24-1 ATS record and a league-best 18-8 ATS record at home. The Dubs haven’t been as effective. But at 27-24-1 ATS, they’re still profitable, and their 16-8 ATS record on the road is second-best in the NBA.

Line movement notes: Golden State opened as a 1-point favorite. The spread has moved slightly in their favor.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers will run back Tuesday’s contest at the same venue. Minnesota scored a 12-point road win in that game despite playing without rest. However, Minnesota now lists Anthony Edwards as questionable. Portland lists Scoot Henderson as probable but will remain without Malcolm Brogdon and Shaedon Sharpe.

Edwards’ uncertain status is keeping this spread tighter than it would be if he were active. Minnesota is a decent 28-24-2 ATS this season but dips to 15-15 ATS on the road. Portland is a not-great 25-28 ATS and 11-14 ATS at home. Minnesota is also 17-15-2 ATS against Western Conference opponents while Portland is 15-21 ATS, second-worst among all Western Conference teams.

Line movement notes: The spread for this one hasn’t budged off the opening number.

NBA Picks: Friday, February 15

With such a small card, I don’t hate the idea of sitting this one out. I do like Minnesota here, but the Timberwolves will probably need Anthony Edwards for me to feel comfortable about buying them as a 9.5-point favorite.

I may look into buying Minnesota at 9.5 if Edwards gets ruled in and the books don’t move off it immediately, but that’s probably it.

Utah’s dominance at home is another angle I wouldn’t mind getting some exposure to, but with Golden State so successful on the road and neither team having to worry about another game for over a week, I’m not confident in the Jazz enough to pounce.

I also trust neither the Bucks nor the Grizzlies to cover as their ATS records suggest. It feels like a cop-out to offer no NBA pick today, but sharp bettors are smart enough to sit things out sometimes.
