NBA Parlay Picks Today: Pistons-Hornets SGP Monday
Cade Cunningham o22.5 Points (NBA Player Prop)
Let’s just start by calling a spade a spade here. These two teams don’t play a lick of defense, and are ranked 28th (Hornets) and 29th (Pistons) in defensive rating this year.
So, how the hell in this game only has a 217 total is beyond me. But, we’re going to attack what we think is a spot where we’re going to get much more offense than expected.
And, that starts with Cade Cunningham going over 22.5 points.
In his last five games, Cade has really upped his shot volume, and has recorded 20+ shots three times, 19 shots once and 12 in the other game.
He’s cashed the over on 22.5 points in seven of his last nine games. And over their last seven games, the Hornets have allowed opposing point guards to score nearly 25 points per game.
Cade has been getting points the easy way of late as well, attempting seven or more free-throws in five of his last seven games.
Detroit is favored by 4 points tonight, and if we believe they’re going to win the game, they’re likely to dictate the pace some, and that starts with Cade running the show.
Miles Bridges o22.5 Points (NBA Player Prop)
Now, just like we said that if we’re to believe the Pistons are going to win this game by dictating the pace, that means the Hornets will be in a pace-up spot.
The Pistons play at the eighth-fastest pace in the NBA, which is much quicker than the Hornets (20th).
So, we love a pace bump for anyone on Charlotte, and the biggest beneficiary should be its athletic wing Miles Bridges.
Someone is going to have to score points for the Hornets if they’re going to keep it within that 4-point spread, and there’s no one more suited than Bridges. So, we’re taking the over on 22.5 points.
Bridges plays a combo of the SF/PF, and the Pistons allow a combined 46.8 points per game to the 3/4.
He’s cashed the over on this number in three of his last five games. And he’s also gone over in three of his last four games against the Pistons.
Let’s get some offensive fireworks in the toilet bowl today, and cash this SGP.
