I’m in absolute SHAMBLES! We lost our Wednesday NBA parlay by the hook on Dennis Schroder’s PRA. That should’ve been back-to-back NBA parlay wins for us. I’m sick! If you watch my daily NBA picks videos, we did go 2-0 on our standard props, so we still came out ahead. I’ve got another 5-leg banger for our NBA parlay picks today, and it features the Atlanta Hawks vs Orlando Magic — and has some Trae Young and Paolo Banchero action.
NBA Parlay Picks Today: Best 5-Leg Parlay Thursday
Trae Young 20+ Points (NBA Player Prop)
The shooting struggles have been the story for Trae Young so far this season, but he’s still been getting his points.
Young has cashed the 20+ points prop in 5 straight games, and in 6 of 7 games overall. Yes, all of that DESPITE shooting 33.6% from the floor and 27.3% from 3-point range.
One thing he’s still incredibly good at is getting to the free-throw line. In the Hawks’ last game, he got to the line 11 times, and didn’t miss. One of these games he’s actually going to shoot it well, and we want to be there when he does. Until then, we’ll take the 20+ points as the first of our NBA parlay picks today.
Dejounte Murray OVER 1.5 Made 3-pointers (NBA Player Prop)
As poorly as Trae has shot it this season, Dejounte Murray hasn’t been able to miss. This fella is absolutely cookin’ right now!
Murray is shooting 38.5% from 3-point territory so far this season, and is coming off a game where he hit 6-of-9 from deep. So far this season, he’s taking a career-high 5.6 3-pointers per game, and averaging the most makes of his career (yes, small sample, but we’ll see how it plays out ROS).
He’s gone over 1.5 made 3-pointers in 4 straight games. Let’s continue the trend tonight!
Clint Capela 8+ Rebounds (NBA Player Prop)
This is kind of a sweetener to our NBA parlay picks today. Clint Capela is the definition of a true center, and has been gobbling up boards like crazy this season.
He’s grabbed 11 or more rebounds in 5 of 7 games so far this season, and is averaging 10.4 per game. We’re not even looking for him to crack double-digits tonight against the Magic, who might want to go a little more small-bally tonight, which could favor Capela in the boards department.
It might mean he doesn’t get a full allotment of minutes, but I think for the 22-25 minutes he does get, he’ll be snatching rebounds like crazy. Fire up the 8+ rebounds for Capela.
Paolo Banchero 18+ Points (NBA Player Prop)
The Magic have a true “dude” in Paolo Banchero. He’s been showing his insane upside the last 3 games as well.
In those games he’s gone for 22, 25 and 30 points. And, it’s not like he’s shooting some astronomical percentage from 3 to boost the numbers. He’s just been getting it done by attacking the hoop and getting to the foul line. Two things you LOVE to see when betting a points prop.
He’s been getting decent volume the last 3 games, averaging 15 shots per game compared to the 11 he was getting in his first 4 games this season.
This is a number I’m projecting Banchero to be hitting almost 58% of the time.
Orlando Magic +7 vs Atlanta Hawks (NBA Prediction)
The Magic have been frisky this season, which I expected. But did I expect this amount of friskiness? I don’t think I did; but it’s pleasantly surprising. They’re 4-3 so far this year and looked pretty competitive against the Lakers (twice), the Clippers and the Mavericks.
The actual point spread on this game is Magic +3, but let’s tilt it a little bit more in our favor since we have a 25% parlay boost from DraftKings to fall back on. Pushing this to +7 makes me feel a lot better, and I think they’ll keep this one close.
