Jabari Smith o8.5 Rebounds (NBA Player Prop)
As I was firing up the OddsShopper Prop Tool this morning, I was looking a lot at Jabari Smith props. I found this one, which I’m LOVING today.
Houston gets the Indiana Pacers tonight, who are playing at one of the fastest paces in the entire NBA. It’s just an all-out track meet every time this team steps on the court.
Our Prop Tool has the traditional Jabari Smith o/u 9.5 rebounding prop sitting at a 50% expected win rate. However, we’re going to knock it down ONE board with the alternate over/under of 8.5.
Smith has been racking up rebounds of late, and has gone over the 8.5 number in eight of his last 11 games.
One of the biggest reasons I really like this number is that Indiana just loves to give up to opposing power forwards — both in terms of points AND rebounds.
Alperen Sengun should be chasing Myles Turner around on the perimeter, which will leave Smith down by the rim to hopefully grab a ton of rebounds tonight.

We took an alternate number on Jabari Smith, so let’s do the same here with Alperen Sengun since we have a nice 50% profit boost from DraftKings today.
Looking at the assists props for Sengun, he’s sitting with a traditional prop of 4.5, which the OddsShopper Prop Tool has at an expected win rate of 57%.
You know the Pacers are going to speed up the Rockets a bit today, which should lead to some added possessions. With that, we should see Sengun initiating some more offense, and he could be a more willing passer than usual today with Myles Turner defending him.
Turner isn’t an ALL-WORLD defender, but, he’s low key pretty good.
I’m going to fire up the alternate assist prop here for Sengun, and go for the OVER 3.5.
Jazz Moneyline (NBA Picks)
Alright, this is basically me saying I’m betting against Victor Wembanyama playing tonight as this ankle issue is more serious than it was initially believed to be.
I mean, WTF happened for him to step on a ball boy pregame and turn his ankle so bad he couldn’t even give it a go in their last game?
Even if Wemby DOES play, this feels like a spot where the Jazz should be able to get the win.
After all, Utah is getting healthy, especially after the mini Christmas break. Jordan Clarkson will be back for tonight’s game, Lauri Markkanen is healthy and they seem likely to get Talen Horton-Tucker back.
Given all of that, and Wemby’s status in question, I’ll take the Jazz moneyline.
Nets Moneyline (NBA Pick)
The Nets are playing the Detroit Pistons.
Do you need me to elaborate? I mean, I shouldn’t have to.
The Pistons are an atrocious team. The Nets just pushed the Nuggets, and then blew out the Pistons on a back-to-back.
So, now we get Brooklyn against Detroit after some rest? I’m going to take the moneyline and just say the losing streak continues for the Pistons.
