NBA Parlay Picks Today: +546 Bet for Wednesday
Brandon Ingram 20+ Points & Pelicans Moneyline (NBA Player Prop)
You don’t know how tempted I was to hate jam C.J. McCollum‘s points prop tonight in this parlay. It feels like the only way we might be able to break the streak is to look the demon directly in the eyes and face our fears.
But I’m a coward. We’re not firing McCollum in the parlay. Instead, we go to his running mate … Brandon Ingram. We’re going to take 20-plus points for the Pelicans forward tonight.
Why do we like Ingram tonight? Well, we know the mid-range is his kitchen where he likes to cook, and the Rockets struggle to defend players in the mid-range. Houston is currently 26th on the year at defending the mid-range shot.
What makes this even more appealing is that Houston loves to send dudes to the foul line. They’re currently 28th in free throws allowed per game, which should give Ingram a few more opportunities at some easy points.
The Pelicans are 2.5-point favorites tonight on the road against the Rockets. But they’ve been STRUGGLING. Like, big-time struggling.
New Orleans has lost four of its last five games, and they are needing a win in the worst possible way.
Now, the Rockets have been a good story this season, and they deserve a lot of credit for turning things around pretty quickly when no one really had belief they would. However, they’re not at the level of the Pelicans despite how horrible the Pels have been lately.
New Orleans is 10th overall in Net Rating this season. And while Houston is 13th, the gap between them in ACTUAL rating is pretty precipitous. The Pelicans have a 3.8 Net Rating, and the Rockets are sitting at 1.2 — a gap of 2.6, which makes the actual RANKINGS a bit deceiving.
We back the Pelicans here to finally right the ship and get back in the win column.
Terry Rozier 15+ Points (NBA Player Prop)
We finally saw what looked to be a fully unleased Terry Rozier in Miami’s last game against Phoenix.
Rozier scored 21 points and had his most shot attempts in a game with the Heat (14).
Tonight, we’re going to look to Rozier to score 15-plus points.
Sacramento allows guards to really get whatever they want offensively and allow 24.5 and 22.9 points per game to point guards and shooting guards, respectively.
In his four games with the Heat, Rozier has a 20.8% usage rate, so they’re letting him get involved, and that should likely improve the more games he plays.
Plus, we like that Rozier is going to be in a pace-up spot here against the Kings, who are just outside the top 10 in pace of play this year.
So whether you think Rozier is playing PG or SG, he’s getting a plus matchup tonight against a Kings defense that ranks 18th in Defensive Net Rating.
