Let’s just start this off by saying how embarrassing the Milwaukee Bucks were last night, losing at home to the lowly Utah Jazz. I mean, that team is in absolute shambles. I don’t care if Damian Lillard was out or not. That was a catastrophe. And, Giannis had a hand in dismantling what would’ve been a +600 parlay smash. A knife to my heart. Still, we got the best NBA parlay picks today.
Now it’s time for our top NBA parlay picks for today, Tuesday, January 9, including NBA player prop picks for Palo Banchero and De’Aaron Fox. Need more action? Check out our NBA betting tools or our NBA betting promos!
However, like I mentioned yesterday, the NBA picks and player prop bets we’ve been firing up in Discord have been on fire lately.
We had an 8-1 night on Saturday, and followed it up by hitting 7 of our 10 bets on Monday night.
So, we’re on a nice little 15-4 run with our NBA picks in Discord of late.
We have people in there talking about bets all day, asking me questions about bets, which breakfast foods I like most and sweating out wins together. It’s a fun place to be.
Come join if you want to get in Discord and hang with me and the crew, and use code NATHAN for 20% off. It will pay for itself with how many winners we’ve been giving away of late!
NBA Parlay Picks Today: +636 Bet for Tuesday
Jaden Ivey o3.5 Assists (NBA Player Prop)
Jaden Ivey will likely be stepping in as the lead guard tonight for the Detroit Pistons.
Right now, Ivey’s assists prop is sitting at 4.5, and the OddsShopper Prop Tool is liking him to hit the over on that number 52% of the time.
But, my friends, we have a nice little profit boost from DraftKings for our NBA parlay today, so we’re going to be taking an alternate line, and giving ourselves a little bit more edge here.
Let’s tweak this baby down to 3.5. Why? Even with a more limited role coming off the bench, Ivey has cashed the over 3.5 assists mark in seven of his last 10 games.
Now, with more minutes, and more usage to go his way, we should be able to get this number fairly easily.
Bojan Bogdanovic 18+ Points (NBA Player Prop)
This one is for you, Eric Lindquist!
The Pistons are going to be without Cade Cunningham for a few games it looks like, after the Detroit guard suffered an injury a game ago. Obviously, with Cade and his 30% usage rate off the floor, that will open up opportunities for other guys.
Bojan Bogdanovic is one of those guys. Now, the books have pumped his points prop up to 21.5 with Cade being out, but we’re going to take an alternate line here. Today, we’re firing up the 18+ points for Bojan.
This will be the first night Cade is completely off the floor, which is 19 shots per game gone from the Detroit offense.
So, who is likely to get the majority of those shots? The answer is probably Jaden Ivey, but not all 19. Bojan will likely pick up a few more shot attempts, and have to be relied upon for more scoring.
The Kings are playing awful defense right now, and this game has a total right around 240.
I think we’re going to see Bojan get a few more jacks than he’s been getting of late, and looks to be more of a scorer than he already has been.
De’Aaron Fox 25+ Points (NBA Player Prop)
Quick question: what team gives the most points to opposing point guards in the NBA?
Ah! Tricked ya! You guessed the Detroit Pistons because De’Aaron Fox is playing them tonight. The answer is the San Antonio Spurs. BUUUT, who is second? The Detroit Pistons.
Look, we know Fox can just flat out get buckets. He’s capable of a 40-burger any night, especially against a team like the Pistons.
He’s been a bit of a whack-a-mole of late, having games of 30, 15 and 3 points in three of his last four games. However, this is the ultimate get-right spot in the NBA.
Our OddsShopper Prop Tool actually has Fox going over 27.5 points tonight 53% of the time. It’s hard not to like his traditional prop line, but, we can afford to take the 25+ tonight, which is exactly what we’re doing.
Paolo Banchero u30.5 Points (NBA Player Prop)
And now, for the SCARIEST pick of the parlay … Paolo Banchero u30.5 points.
This man has gone for 43, 32 and 35 points in each of his last three games, and had been flirting with a 30-piece in each of the three before that. So, we’re testing the waters here.
But, do you know how hard it is to top 30 points every night in the NBA? There are four players currently averaging 30+, and they are: Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Now, look, I love Paolo as much as the next guy, but, he ain’t one of those dues … yet. He might GET there, but he ain’t there yet.
Tonight, the Magic take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have the No. 1 defensive rating in the NBA this season (Orlando is 4th). This defense will be a different beast than he’s faced of late — Denver, Atlanta and Sacramento.
With this game featuring two teams who are Top 5 in defensive rating, it feels like a spot where the game will be slowed down and played as a defensive struggle, so we’re going to close our eyes, bite our lips and go UNDER 30.5 on Paolo tonight.
Timberwolves ML (NBA Pick)
Whenever I’m adding a side to my NBA parlays, I generally don’t like to fiddle around with the spreads.
The NBA is weird enough — as we’ve seen A LOT of late — with blowouts and shenanigans. We don’t need to add that variance to our parlays.
So tonight, instead of getting the Timberwolves to cover the 5.5 they’re favored by, we’re going to just take them to win the game outright.
While Minnesota is clearly the better team, I don’t want to lay that many points on the road in a game that might have points be a premium.
Fire up the moneyline here as the final leg of our parlay.
