The NBA play-in tournament shows a pretty straight-up betting picture, with the home teams coming out as the favorites in every single game. But we are bound to have some surprises along the way. The 10 & 9 seeds will have to win two games, with the winner of the first matchup playing the loser of the 8 vs. 7 seed games with a trip to the playoffs on the line. The winner of the No.7 vs. No. 8 game will immediately punch their ticket to the playoffs, playing their conference’s No. 2 seed in a seven-game series.
Play begins on Tuesday night with the Hawks-Heat matchup being the first on the play-in slate. The Timbewolves-Lakers will follow that matchup. The Bulls-Raptors will kick off play in the early game on Wednesday, with the Thunder and Pelicans scheduled after that contest.
