The NBA is the main game in town tonight for sports betting, and those looking for a new way to play NBA player props have a great PrizePicks slate to dive into. NBA Bet Pro has three bets today that eclipse the 70% expected win mark; these include a high-value play on a De’Aaron Fox line that seems to be a bit of a misprice. Let’s break down the best PrizePicks NBA player props for Monday, Jan. 9.

PrizePicks NBA Player Props | Jan. 9
De’Aaron Fox Over 4.0 Rebounds
This line is 4.5 industrywide, so it is odd that PrizePicks has dropped this line a half point. De’Aaron Fox‘s over on 4.5 rebounds at DraftKings is one of NBA Bet Pro’s favorite props of the night, which obviously makes the over on 4.0 even easier to lock in.
Fox is averaging a career-high 4.2 rebounds in 2022-23. He has not been destroying this line over the last month or so, only getting to five boards five times in the last 13 games, but three of those misses were pushes at exactly four rebounds. Tonight Stokastic projects Fox for just a tick over five rebounds against a Magic team that is middle of the pack in rebound rate.
DeMar DeRozan Over 4.0 Assists
Though Chicago as a whole has not had a particularly assist-friendly offense as of late — despite scoring at a much better clip — DeMar DeRozan‘s propensity to dominate the ball makes his assist prop more appealing than those of the other Bulls. Boston’s wing defense is among the best in the NBA. As a result, it is likely the Celtics will blitz DeRozan to force him to give up the ball. Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic have both been scoring much better recently as well, opening up a decent number of assist opportunities.
DeRozan has recorded at least five assists in nine of his last 12 games, and he has gotten there twice in three matchups with the Celtics this year. Like with Fox’s line, the fact that PrizePicks dropped the half point gives the over even more pop since NBA Bet Pro is pegging DeRozan for 4.94 assists today.
Russell Westbrook Under 8.5 Assists
Yes, Russell Westbrook‘s usage climbs when the Lakers are as shorthanded as they project to be tonight. And yes, Westbrook is still putting up solid assist numbers despite coming off the bench most of the season. But Stokastic is projecting Westbrook to go under on all of his totals tonight, which have been juiced above his season averages since he is in line for more action.
He is falling especially short of his assist line in NBA Bet Pro’s projections. Fresh off a 15-assist performance, and two nine-assist games immediately prior to that one, Westbrook is looking a bit more like his old self. That said, he fell shy of nine assists in five of seven before that three-game run, and the matchup with the Nuggets does not portend the up-and-down style in which Westbrook thrives. The Nuggets are 20th in pace — miles below Los Angeles’ No. 2 ranking — so fading offensive production is the play here.
Stokastic has Westbrook for only 7.2 assists tonight.
