NBA Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Predictions Today

Scotties Barnes Lower Than 19.5 Points

Barnes’ up-and-down 2024-25 season has seen him post both a career high in field goal attempts per game and career lows in field goal and 3-point percentages. He has only shot 50% or better in 13 of his 38 games this year — plus Barnes is coming off a 4-for-18 game that culminated in just 11 points.

Obviously, the volume matters more than the efficiency when playing on Underdog, but this underscores why Barnes projects for lower than 19.5 points despite Toronto missing a minimum of three of its most significant contributors. The tough matchup with Oklahoma City is also a major factor here — a Thunder team getting Chet Holmgren back, by the way. With Barnes not making his 3’s and the Thunder getting their elite rim protection back, Stokastic’s NBA Stat Projections give Barnes just 18.6 points in 30.3 minutes. That has the Underdog Fantasy Optimizer at a 55% chance of Barnes scoring 19 points or fewer tonight.

Dyson Daniels Lower Than 16.5 Points

Atlanta is in even more of holding pattern today after being involved in some major trades at the deadline. some of those new acquisitions may suit up tonight, but for now Stokastic’s NBA Stat Projections are treating Terance Mann, Caris LeVert and Georges Niang as out. However, those points are not transferring to Daniels in said projections.

Daniels is coming off three straight games of at least 19 points, but he is still averaging under 14 per game this year. The loss of De’Andre Hunter isn’t exactly pushing buckets Daniels’ way, and even if it did a little, 14 is a far cry from 17 points on a projections basis. Stokastic gives Daniels the slight bump from his season average to 14.7 tonight — still well below the 16.5 mark he has to hit.

With these two lower plays, we are looking at a 29% expected win rate for the full entry, and winning both will pay out 3x on Underdog.
