NBA Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Predictions Today
Yves Missi Lower Than 8.5 Rebounds
Going against rookie sensation (?) Yves Missi’s rebounds in a game without Zion Williamson is not one of my favorite tasks. The guy is averaging over eight a game, and Williamson’s absence takes one of the Pelicans’ (theoretical) top rebounders off the floor. That said, Missi is going through a mini slump at the moment, and we’re taking advantage.
Missi has not cleared nine rebounds in five games, and he only averaged seven over his last 11. Plus, Missi missed the last two games of the season, and now he faces a tough Memphis team with a lot of size inside. Stokastic’s NBA Stat Projections are being generous with him and placing him at 8.5 rebounds in just under 27 minutes, but the Underdog Fantasy Optimizer still gives him a 55% chance of staying below 8.5 boards.

Dean Wade Lower Than 5.5 Rebounds
I’ll tell you — Dean Wade is not making a fade of his rebounds easy. Evan Mobley is out, which is a fairly one-to-one boost to Wade’s opportunity. He is starting at power forward, and last game he went out and grabbed eight rebounds in 30 minutes of action. Prior to that, though, he finished shy of 5.5 in four straight, including three consecutive games of exactly five rebounds. Mobley was out for two of those four.
Tonight Stokastic’s NBA Stat Projections place him a tick above 5.5 rebounds (5.7) in 24.1 minutes, but that is a median outcome. We are also giving Wade a 55% chance of grabbing five boards or fewer against the 76ers, so the variable outcomes favor lower than 5.5. Paired with the Missi play, these two picks have a solid 30% chance of winning 3x as an Underdog Standard entry.
