O.G. Anunoby Trade Odds Will Excite Many Fans
DraftKings Sportsbook has recently issued betting lines for a plethora of players who are rumored to be on the chopping block this week. When looking at the O.G. Anunoby trade odds, it’s clear that sportsbooks see a high likelihood that he’ll be moved. Per DraftKings, Anunoby is a -500 favorite to be traded, behind just Jae Crowder (-700) for the highest odds to be traded.
Teams are already beginning to line up in the Anunoby sweepstakes given the general belief that the forward is ready to move on from the Raptors. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Knicks are willing to give up multiple first-round picks for Anunoby. HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported that “a few rival executives” believe the Grizzlies are interested in making a run at Anunoby at the Trade Deadline. And SN’s Michael Grange mentioned the Pelicans may have the best trade package and fit for Anunoby. The Suns and Nuggets have also been floated as potential suitors in an assumed O.G. Anunoby trade.
The Toronto Star’s Doug Smith reported that the trade package the Raptors are asking in return for Anunoby would likely include “at least two promising players on team-friendly deals and a pick.”
Anunoby has continued to assert himself as a valuable two-way forward in the league, averaging 16.9 points per game in his sixth NBA season. He’s still only in his age-25 season and isn’t slated to become an unrestricted free agent until 2025. Despite the rumors, Anunoby contends that he isn’t worried about his future at the moment.
“No, it doesn’t bother me, ” he said about the trade rumors, per Sporting news. “What can I do about it? I didn’t tell anyone to do that story or say whatever. It’s not my choice for whatever is going on to be going on. I can’t control it, so what’s the point of being mad about it?”
Anunoby has been sidelined with a wrist injury he suffered on Jan 27. It was announced that he’ll be out through the Raptors’ road trip, which wraps up on Feb. 5 in Memphis. Based on the latest O.G. Anunoby trade odds, the dynamic forward could very well be wearing a different uniform by the time he is ready to return to action.
