Pascal Siakam Player Prop: Best Raptors-Celtics Bet Today

So, who’s team is this really? The Toronto Raptors have had to change their identity with Head Coach Nick Nurse in Philadelphia, the acquisition of Dennis Schröder, and the emergence of Scottie Barnes. Speaking of Barnes, he leads the Raptors in usage rate through the first eight games of the season. But not far behind is Schröder and Siakam. Tonight, as eight point underdogs on the road in Boston, the Raptors will have their hands full – especially Siakam, who is shooting below 30% from deep this season.

The elite starting five of the Celtics is a joy to watch. The backcourt of Jrue Holiday and Derrick White is a blur for opposing guards, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown hold down the perimeter. Now, insert seven-footer Kristaps Porzingis, who averages 1.5 blocks per game which ranks top 20 in the association. Good luck with that, Toronto. Siakam, in particular, is the one I’m looking to fade tonight, not from a rebounding or playmaking standpoint, but from three-point range.

We’re drinking some juice with this Siakam player prop bet. His over/under on three-point makes is 1.5, with vig on the under at -154 on FanDuel. In comparison, all the other major books have this prop listed at -190 or worse. That screams value. As stated above, Siakam is shooting just 29% from three and has stayed under this prop in five of eight games this season and three of four last season against Boston. He’s averaging five three-point attempts per game, which isn’t nearly enough volume for Siakam to cash this if he continues to shoot portly – especially against a Boston Celtics defense holding opponents to under 34% from three-point range.
