Rudy Gobert Injury Update | Tuesday, March 12

The Minnesota Timberwolves were without Rudy Gobert in their last game as he works his way back from a hamstring injury. Gobert is just one of many injured Timberwolves on a list that includes Anthony Edwards (questionable) and Karl-Anthony Towns (out).

Gobert is working his way back from a hamstring injury. The ailment sidelined him on March 10, and the Timberwolves proceeded to lose to the Los Angeles Lakers by 11.

Gobert has been no stranger to the headlines lately. He recently accused referee Scott Foster of fixing games, which resulted in a $100,000 fine. The fourth anniversary of his unfortunate COVID-19 joke also just passed.

But is Gobert playing on Tuesday? It’s unclear at this point, but the fact the Timberwolves are only trading as a 6.5-point dog is somewhat encouraging — then again, the Clippers have listed Kawhi Leonard (questionable) and Paul George (questionable) on the injury report, too, so who really knows.

One concerning sign is that the sportsbooks aren’t taking action on any Timberwolves except for Gobert and Edwards. That suggests the books and sharps are just as in the dark about Gobert’s status as the rest of us.

Is Rudy Gobert Playing on Tuesday?

Gobert’s status for Tuesday’s game is up in the air, but bettors who expect him not to play can take advantage of an interesting NBA player prop angle. The Clippers’ starting center, Ivica Zubac, would be facing a frontcourt of Naz Reid and… Luka Garza? Yikes.

Zubac’s points prop is trading between 9.5 and 10.5 across the market. You’ll find the best price at FanDuel, where the over 9.5 will cost you only -120. Pinnacle, a sharp book, lists the same price at -136. With Leonard and George both on the injury report, too, the Clippers may have to turn to their big man even more.

Clippers-Timberwolves Pick: Ivica Zubac Over 9.5 Points -120 at FanDuel
