Although Klay Thompson props were actually more popular coming into Game 7, Curry still had plenty of action on him. According to Pikkit, over 28,000 bets came in on Curry bets, with most of that action being bettors taking the Warriors point guard to go over the points total. There was also a lot of action on the over in 3-pointers made.
Curry made the many bettors pleased with an easy cash on both the points and 3-pointers props. The legendary shooter had it going on from the jump, scoring a game-high 50 points on 20 of 38 shooting from the field. He made seven of 18 3-pointers, as well.
The veteran guard said earlier in the series that he credits confidence with how he has been able to continue the success for all of these years.
“You got to have it,” Curry told ESPN. “The security in myself to know I am who I am and how I play is how I play. Whatever comes out of that you kind of live with. It’s not passive; you have to work. I think that’s the biggest thing. It’s a different way of looking at the game, looking at yourself. Almost like an irrational confidence that comes with it just because you are that type of dude.”
Curry certainly oozed confidence throughout the dominant performance, scoring the most points of any player in Game 7 history. With the hot shooting performance, Curry added another chapter to his storied legacy and gave fans another unforgettable performance.
The Warriors will now face Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in a star-studded second round mathcup. Bettors will likely be flocking to Stephen Curry props once again after his performance on Sunday, and with good reason. He has proven time and time again that he plays his best on the biggest stages.
