The Los Angeles Lakers-Memphis Grizzlies NBA Playoffs series figured to be a tightly contested affair, and it has delivered through three games. The bad blood between the two teams has been evident, but the Lakers were able to channel their emotions in Game 3 and pull away with a convincing 111-101 win to go ahead 2-1 in the series. The updated Grizzlies-Lakers series odds show that Los Angeles is now a sizable favorite to move on to the second round.

Updated Grizzlies-Lakers Series Odds: Los Angeles in Command
Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Lakers (-360) are now the heavy favorite to defeat the Grizzlies (+285) in the series. Readers who have yet to sign up at DraftKings can also benefit from $150 in bet credits with any $5 wager on the NBA Playoffs.
The Grizzlies, specifically Dillon Brooks, did their best to get inside LeBron James‘ head earlier in the series with constant taunts mixed with jabs through the media, but it has not seemed to faze the superstar. James poured in 25 points, with Anthony Davis scoring a team-high 31 in Saturday’s win.
“I didn’t make a statement,” James said after the Lakers’ Game 3 win, per the New York Post. “I’ve been doing this too long. I’m not making any statements. We had the opportunity to come home and play well on our home floor, and we did that. No statement was made. We just wanted to play well, and we got a win. I don’t need to make statements.”
Whether or not James wants to admit the win on Saturday meant a little bit more, the Lakers most definitely made a statement that, not only do they have what it takes to overpower the Grizzlies, but that they could also make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs.
The updated Grizzlies-Lakers series odds now show the Grizzlies are in big trouble. They will need to dig deep to search for answers in order to work their way back into the series after being outclassed on Saturday.
