The data shows a bulk of the public bettors aren’t concerned about the Warriors’ home/road splits this season. Golden State stayed dominant at Chase Center but had an unfathomable 11-30 record away from The Bay this season. Stephen Curry admitted he was a bit confused by all the struggles away from Chase Center, but tried to pinpoint why the team has struggled at various points throughout the season.
“Early in the year, I think the expectations from last year to this year and you realize we had four guys who were part of the rotation in the playoffs that weren’t here,” Curry said, per NBC Sports. “So we had guys that knew the system, you probably didn’t even need to have to have training camp, we could’ve just rolled it back and understood how we were supposed to play.”
Curry and the Warriors were able to build a little bit of road momentum when winning their last two games of the season against the Kings and Portland Trail Blazers. But Sacramento was benching De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and Kevin Huerter at the time.
The Warriors will now face the task of trying to limit the Kings’ core in order to pull out the critical Game 1 away from home. Based on the Warriors-Kings betting odds & trends, there are many out there going with the pedigree over the worrisome road trends.
