Tre Mitchell u24.5 PRA

Beginning in the SEC, Kentucky currently has a 14-3 record behind the 73rd most difficult schedule. Meanwhile, South Carolina holds a 15-3 record with the 165th most difficult schedule. Even with a similar record, Kentucky enters this road tip as a five point favorite in a game with a 155 total.

Despite this elite scoring environment and Kentucky’s 14th ranked schedule adjusted tempo, a few players project towards the under on the points-rebounds-assists props. Specifically, Tre Mitchell looks like a value towards the under with an 18.35 projection at 28 minutes. Mitchell averages 34 minutes per game, but he finds himself increasingly squeezed in this deep Kentucky frontcourt. Specifically, Zvonimir Ivosic gained eligibility in Kentucky’s last game and immediately 16 minutes upon his return. This gives Kentucky five players with heights ranging from 6-8 to 7-2 with elite talent profiles. Mitchell has now played 28 minutes in two straight games with minimal foul trouble. Kentucky does possess a massive size advantage over South Carolina, but his minutes could come down due to pure depth. In this matchup specifically, South Carolina does play with the 339th pace, which could decrease Mitchell’s scoring opportunities as well.

Steven Crowl o24.5 PRA

Moving over to the Big Ten, Wisconsin heads to Minnesota to take on the Gophers as 3.5 point favorites in a game with a 141.5total. Wisconsin currently sits at 14-4 with a 6-1 conference record behind the eighth ranked strength of schedule. Meanwhile, Minnesota enters this game at 12-6 with the 263rd ranked schedule.

In the player prop market, Steven Crowl stands out in this competitive game environment. Averaging 28.9 minutes per game, Crowl currently accounts for a 13.9% shot rate, 23.0% rebound rate, and 20.8% assist rate for the Badgers. He has also seen his minutes climb from 29 to 31 and 33 over Wisconsin’s last two games. Minnesota has played solid defense to this point, but they’ve faced significantly weaker competition. In Big Ten play, they’ve allowed at least 70 points in each of their last three games and in four of their last five. With much of Wisconsin’s offense flowing through the interior, Crowl comes in with a PRA projection of 23.2.

Florida State-Syracuse Odds

Florida State: +130 | Syracuse: -155
Florida State +3.0: -110 | Syracuse -3.0: -110
Over 150.5: -105| Under 150.5: -115

Jamir Watkins o19.5 PRA

Finishing up in the ACC, Florida State heads to Syracuse as a three point underdog in a game with a 150.5 total. To this point, Florida State has an 11-7 record with the 39th ranked schedule. However, they’ve shown improvement of late, jumping to 5-2 in conference. Similarly, Syracuse holds a 13-5 record behind the 16th ranked schedule. After wins over Pittsburgh and Miami, they’ve climbed to 4-3 in conference.

In this matchup, much of the elevated player projections stem from a rising 150.5 total. Pace wise, both Syracuse and Florida State play with a top 50 tempo. Since December 1st, both teams have increased their pace to a top 40 rate as well. Specifically, Jamir Watkins continues to carve out an increased role in Florida State’s rotation. Watkins has played 23, 29 and 33 minutes over Florida State’s last three games. Within this span, he accounts for a 17.7% shot rate, 14.1% rebound rate, and 12.5% assist rate. Standing 6-7, Watkins also exploits a Syracuse defense that ranks 215th in defending the interior. With a 29 minute projection, Watkins projects for 23.7 PRA.
