College Basketball Betting Picks & Odds | Feb. 15

College Basketball Odds: TCU (+3.5) vs. Iowa State

OddsShopper’s Insider Discord identified this as a value at +4.5, and TCU has quickly moved to +3.5 across betting markets. Much of this line movement comes down to injury news. After missing multiple games, Mike Miles Jr. and Eddie Lampkin Jr. are both expected to return for this matchup. The pair play crucial positions for TCU, with Miles handling point guard duties and Lampkin providing size from the interior. With the likely return of two of its studs, TCU will look to avenge its home loss to Iowa State from earlier this season.

In addition to the personnel changes, TCU also has some matchup advantages over Iowa State. TCU ranks 59th in 2-point percentage, where Iowa State has struggled. The Cyclones are 147th in interior defense, which could be exacerbated even further by the return of Lampkin. Iowa State has also occasionally struggled with turnovers. The team ranks 138th in turnovers committed, while TCU is 57th in turnovers generated on defense. Not to mention, the excellent TCU perimeter defense creates a difficult matchup for the Cyclones on offense, as they often win through 3-point shooting.

College Basketball Odds: Arkansas (+3.5) vs. Texas A&M

This is another rematch from earlier this season, and Arkansas defeated Texas A&M at home by a score of 81-70 in the first game. Arkansas received reinforcements last game with the return of Nick Smith Jr. After winning three of its last four games, Arkansas will look to build on its recent success as March Madness approaches.

From a stylistic perspective, Arkansas is much better on defense. The Razorbacks rank 15th in overall defensive efficiency, while Texas A&M is 135th in 2-point percentage and 254 in 3-point percentage. Meanwhile, Arkansas’ offense not only gets a boost from Smith returning, but is already ranks 32nd in interior scoring without him. Texas A&M does play strong defense, but its lack of depth could be exposed against a more talented Arkansas.

College Basketball Expert Betting Pick: Arkansas +3.5 (-115) at BetMGM

College Basketball Odds: Indiana (-1.5) vs. Northwestern

Another value Insider Discord identified at +1, Indiana has subsequently moved to -1.5 in most betting markets. Facing Northwestern for the second time, Indiana will look to avenge an 84-83 loss to the Wildcats from earlier this year. Indiana has still taken money despite the statuses of Race Thompson and Xavier Johnson being unknown for tonight.

Regardless, Indiana presents one of the most difficult matchups for Northwestern in the Big Ten. Indiana and Trayce Jackson-Davis will challenge a normally stout Northwestern interior defense that ranks 17th overall. However, Indiana also possesses the shot-making ability to challenge teams that dedicate extra resources to Jackson-Davis inside. The Hoosiers are 15th in 3-point percentage, which exploits a Northwestern defense that is 180th in perimeter defense.

College Basketball Expert Betting Pick: Indiana -1.5 (-110) at BetMGM
