College Basketball Odds: Creighton (-4.5) vs. Seton Hall
One of the hottest teams in the country, Creighton ranks fourth overall since the turn of the New Year, per Bart Torvik. Most of this has to do with health after Creighton had a limited Ryan Kalkbrenner through a portion of non-conference play. The Bluejays will also face one of the perceived hottest teams in the country, but advanced metrics point out some flaws in that logic.
While 7-1 in its last eight games, Seton Hall has faced a weak level of competition. Its lone loss in that span came to Marquette by a score of 74-53. The Pirates defeated UConn 67-66, but their other six wins came against Butler, Georgetown, DePaul and St. John’s, who occupy the bottom four positions in the Big East.
Creighton should be able to pick apart Seton Hall’s 28th-ranked defense. Digging into specifics, Seton Hall ranks 71st in interior defense. Creighton ranks 20th in interior offense, with Kalkbrenner and Arthur Kaluma providing height advantages over most opponents. Now fully healthy, Creighton will continue its run over Seton Hall here.

Insider Discord identified this as a value at +17.5, and IUPUI promptly moved to +16.5. This bet essentially comes down to recent play, with IUPUI turning a corner in conference play — not in terms of wins and losses, but in terms of covering the spread. First of all, IUPUI dismantled Green Bay 68-53 in its most recent game. However, it also covered the spread against Milwaukee, Cleveland State, Purdue Fort Wayne, Detroit Mercy and Oakland in its five prior games.
While Wright State is more efficient and has the better record, IUPUI has shown enough improvement to cover this spread. IUPUI has one path to scoring as well. The Jaguars rank 144th in interior scoring, while Wright State ranks 263rd in interior defense. While not enough to predict and outright upset, this should be enough for IUPUI to keep it close here.

College Basketball Odds: Georgetown (+12.5) vs. Providence
This is another matchup that Insider Discord identified at +14.5, but the line movement rendered this a significantly reduced value. However, Georgetown still has some potential buying opportunity against Providence. First of all, this Hoyas team finally looks healthy. After losing Brandon Murray and Jay Heath for portions of the season, both have finally returned to the lineup. Since Jan. 1, Georgetown has improved from 210th best team to 171st.
More importantly, this has already paid dividends in the betting markets. While 1-5 in its last six games, Georgetown has covered the spread in each of these games — including losses to UConn, Creighton, St. John’s, Xavier and Villanova — so this Georgetown team looks significantly improved. While Providence is solid in its own right, this was simply a mispricing given Georgetown’s restored health.
