DraftKings opened the spread for the matchup with Iowa as a 1.5-point favorite. The total is set to 169, while LSU is a slight +105 underdog on the moneyline. It’s the closest game of the three Elite 8 matchups so far, at least in terms of spread.

Iowa opened as the 1.5-point favorite in the 2023 National Championship game, but fell 102-85. LSU then added transfers Hailey Van Lith and Aneesah Morrow. It wasn’t always perfect as Kim Mulkey worked to merge the talent together; the Tigers lost to Colorado early in the season and lost to Auburn and Mississippi State in addition to two defeats against South Carolina.
Iowa lost four times during the regular season, including three times in Big Ten play. But the Hawkeyes entered the NCAA Tournament on a six-game winning streak, while Caitlin Clark seemingly broke records each night.
