Colorado-Florida Picks & Prediction

After finishing 25-10, Colorado draws a Florida team that finished 24-11. Colorado ranks 25th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 39th on defense. On the other side, Florida comes in 13th in offense and 69th on defense.

Starting on the Colorado side, this team battled injury through most of the year before finishing as the runner-up in the PAC12. Cody Williams and Tristan Da Silva both missed multiple games, but have returned to full health. As a team, Colorado stands 33rd in effective height, which matches up well against a tall Florida team. Ranking 52nd in interior scoring, Colorado should exploit a matchup against the Gators that rank outside the top 100 in interior defense. This could be an even bigger matchup to exploit with Micah Handlogten going down with an injury for Florida.

If Florida commits extra recourses to the interior, Colorado also provides excellent perimeter shooting. As a team, Colorado ranks fourth nationally in three point percentage behind the elite three point shooting of KJ Simpson and J’Vonne Hadley. Florida ranks 82nd in three point defense. Overall, Colorado should have most matchup advantages in this matchup.

Nebraska-Texas A&M Picks & Prediction

After finishing 23-10, Nebraska draws an 8-9 matchup against Texas A&M, who finished the regular season 20-14. Overall, Nebraska ranks 32nd in offensive efficiency and 24th on defense. Meanwhile, finished 37th on offense and 58th on defense.

Not only does, Nebraska hold matchup advantages across the board, but they hold a massive height advantage. They stand 139th in effective height, while Texas A&M stands 243rd. The Cornhuskers rank 71st in three point shooting and 79th in interior scoring. Texas A&M ranks outside the top 130 in defending both of those metrics.

On the Texas A&M side, only two teams have a lower effective shooting percentage in the entire tournament. This team ranks 349th in effective field goal percentage, making them entirely reliant on offensive rebounds. This team does attack the offensive glass better than any other team in the country. However, this leaves Texas A&M open to offensive fouls and leads to an overall risky style of play. With Nebraska playing a tall lineup, the Cornhuskers should take this.

Best March Madness Pick & Prediction: Nebraska -1.5 (-110) at DraftKings
