Despite Purdue flexing its muscles to start the CBB season, the Buckeyes have a very winnable game at home. According to our OddsShopper tools, Ohio State has a 54% chance of coming away victorious over the Boilermakers.

Purdue was a slight favorite over Ohio State after pulling off wins over Marquette, Gonzaga and Duke in their non-conference schedule. But they took a step backward when falling to Rutgers 65-64 at home on Monday. They’ll now try to bounce back against an experienced Ohio State team that has showed their offensive prowess in the early going of the season.

Ohio State has a healthy mix of shooters — with Brice Sensabaugh and Bruce Thornton both shooting over 45% from 3-point range — and down-low presence, where junior Zed Key has a well-rounded 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. On the flip side, Purdue has been one-dimensional on offense, with 7-foot-4 center Zach Edey leading the charge all season long. While Edey is averaging 21.7 points per game and rebounds at a high clip, the Boilermakers only have one other player averaging over 10 points per game (Fletcher Loyer) and have struggled from 3-point range.

Look for Ohio State to make a national statement at home against Purdue on Thursday night, setting the tone for what should be a fun season of Big Ten basketball. And to help add to that fun, DraftKings is running its BEST DEAL YET! All you need to do is bet $5 and you will get $200 instantly! With $200 in bonus bets in your bankroll, you can lay down wagers on all sorts of Big Ten action.
