Sharp College Basketball Bet: Michigan-Northwestern

This is a Big Ten battle, with Michigan heading to Evanston to take on Northwestern. Currently the line sits at Michigan as a 3-point underdog in a game with a total of 138.5. It has been a pretty rough go for Michigan, sitting 11-10 on the season and just 1-4 in road games this year. The Wolverines have lost five of their last seven games, and despite beating Northwestern already this year, this is a bad spot for them. In the first matchup, Northwestern was 6-for-23 from 3-point land and forced Michigan into 18 turnovers. The Wildcats were simply unable to capitalize on the turnovers due to a poor shooting night, but that should change back at home.

Northwestern is a 15-6 squad that has won 3 of 4 after a brief COVID pause. It has a pair of guards averaging 15 points per game and does a great job like Michigan of limiting turnovers. One key area is that Northwestern forces a ton of turnovers via steals, and that could be a factor against a Michigan team reliant on taking care of the ball. In their home gym, the Wildcats will avenge the earlier loss to the Wolverines and cover the 3 points in this spot.
