Ben Rasa’s College Basketball Bet of the Day: TCU vs. Iowa State (February 15)

It seems like every matchup in the Big 12 is between tournament level teams, and tonight is no different, with TCU traveling to Ames to take on Iowa State. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, and it will be crucial for Iowa State to protect its home court as a 4-point home favorite. Let’s take a look at the best college basketball bet for Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Sharp College Basketball Bet: TCU vs. Iowa State

Iowa State has lost four of five, but three of those losses were on the road and the lone home loss on the season was a game in which the Cyclones simply couldn’t shoot. This is a defensively driven team that beat TCU on the road, and it is already looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss.

TCU is a complete mystery, having lost four of five, but that’s not where the unknown comes from. Star guard Mike Miles and key big man Eddie Lampkin Jr. have been out of the lineup, and that has changed the dynamics of this team. Without either, TCU is clearly not the same, but the question is, will either be available tonight? Both apparently practiced, but their projected minutes are still unknown. Iowa State is still a good bet before knowing those two’s statuses, as it faced the Horned Frogs when they had Miles earlier in the year, and coming off a knee injury, it is unlikely he is already back at 100%

This is going to be a fantastic game, but Iowa State in its building is deadly. The Cyclones should control this game, and regardless of who TCU has available, lay the 4 points with the home squad tonight.
