Saturdays are always the biggest college basketball day of the week, but before that day comes, let’s take a look at what’s on the board for Friday’s slate of games. There is still plenty of value, even without marquee matchups, and one value spot is a matchup between Youngstown State and IPFW, with IPFW a 3.5-point underdog

Sharp College Basketball Bet: Youngstown State-IPFW
Youngstown State is a good basketball team, averaging 83 points per game and nearly 40% from behind the arc. The Penguins have played four straight home games and now have to hit the road, facing off against a team they already lost to earlier in the year. In the first matchup, IPFW really limited Youngstown State offensively and forced it well below its season averages in efficiency.
IPFW is 8-3 at home and returns after a brutal, long road trip that featured three straight games and five of the last six away from home. The Mastodons do a fantastic job limiting opponents from behind the arc, allowing just 29% of 3’s to go in, a top-20 mark in the country. That’s the key to this game with Youngstown State coming to town, and whoever wins that battle will probably cover the spread. With IPFW back at home, there should be solid effort on both sides of the floor, and the Mastodons getting 3.5 points in a toss-up game is more than enough value in this spot.
