Cam Rising Injury Update

According to Thamel, Rising is expected to miss his second straight game. The dynamic quarterback is currently recovering from an ACL tear. Utah is slated to play the Baylor Bears on Saturday.

Luckily for Utah, Bryson Barnes played well in his stay last week. Moreover, Nate Johnson was used nicely as a change-of-pace style quarterback. Barnes, a former walk-on, is expected to get the start for Utah. Still, Johnson is projected to get his fair share of turns behind center.

Baylor and Utah is a game of backup quarterbacks, as the Bears will also be without their starter on Saturday. Blake Shapen is out with an injured MCL.

Thamel did provide other noteworthy Cam Rising injury update information, as he reported that the veteran QB should be good to go by the end of the month. Furthermore, that Rising was even ramping up reps during practice this week. Nevertheless, against the Baylor Bears, Utah will be going with their duo of Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson on Saturday. If Barnes does start, it’ll be the third of his career.
