There are trust issues in South Beach. The college football upset pick of the week returns with its eye on a team that’s simply too volatile to ignore. The season has hit the point of must-win for a bunch of schools looking to stay relevant across multiple avenues to post-season football. As we know, however, not all bowl games are created equal. Plenty of spots to choose this week for an upset as a couple of favorites aren’t built to survive, but none better than in the Sunshine State. Here is the CFB Week 10 college football upset pick of the week!

Miami-NC State Upset Pick
This doesn’t make any sense. The Wolfpack entered this game as a 3-point home dog and have since been bet up to +4.5 at some books. The Hurricanes watched Tyler Van Dyke have his worst performance of the year, nearly giving away the game to Virginia. Whether or not his shoulder is still ailing is inconsequential here, as he had two picks against UNC – before missing last week – and three against Georgia Tech. Bottom line is it’s only hurting Van Dyke and helping anyone fading the Canes.
Virginia is not a good defense – 71st overall in the country – as Miami now faces a much more opportunistic crew on NC State’s side. The Wolfpack have three kids each with a pair of picks on the year, as they are one of the best teams in conference at intercepting opposing quarterbacks. As evident by his last three games, all Van Dyke needs is moderate pressure up front to wilt and turn over the football. It’s a great matchup where Wolfpack HC David Doeren must take full advantage.

NC State still needs to score, especially if they are winning this game outright on the card. The way NC State wins is by getting out of their comfort zone and putting the pressure back on Miami. MJ Morris is 2-1 since taking over the starting job, including last week’s win over Clemson. Morris only cracked 200 yards once in that span, but it’s a winning recipe. The Canes also turnover their opponent, especially with interceptions. But Miami is also vulnerable in the pass game, and that’s where Morris needs to be aggressive. It’s absurd and downright disrespectful that Morris and his Pack are home dogs, so watch and cash as they win this one outright.
