College Football PrizePicks Predictions: Conference Championships

Blake Corum, Michigan, More/Less Than 18.5 Fantasy Score

The Michigan Wolverines are 21.5-point favorites over the Iowa Hawkeyes. This is the largest spread of the day, and it’s not even close. Michigan wins football games by running the ball and playing defense. Blake Corum leads the Wolverines with 976 rushing yards on 4.8 yards per attempt. Corum has had 22 or more rushing attempts in each of his last three games. The Iowa defense is good, though, right? In similar matchups against good run defenses like Penn State and Ohio State, Corum had 26.5 and 20.5 fantasy points, respectively.

Corum leads the nation with 22 rushing touchdowns. He gets two more touchdowns today and smashes the 18.5 prop, leading Michigan to a Big 10 title.

JJ McCarthy, Michigan, More/Less Than 14.5 Rushing Yards

JJ McCarthy averaged 6.6 yards per attempt this season and had at least 15 rushing yards in eight of Michigan’s 12 games. The Wolverines are going to control the ball in this one and avoid throwing against Iowa’s ninth-ranked passing defense.

According to OddsShopper’s Positive EV Bets tool, McCarthy’s rushing yards prop has a 10% EV and a 60% win rate on the over. Some other books have this at 15.5, while FanDuel has this at 18.8. Let’s take the value here in a positive game script.

Kimani Vidal, Troy, More/Less Than 19.5 Fantasy Score

Kimani Vidal has a great matchup in the Sun Belt Championship against Appalachian State. Troy is favored by 5 points, and this game has a healthy 53.5 total. Vidal averaged 5.4 yards per attempt and led the Trojans with 1,349 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. He had at least 15 rushing attempts in 11 of 12 games this season.

Appalachian State ranks 99th in rushing defense, allowing 4.9 yards per attempt and 173 rushing yards per game. Underdog Fantasy has this prop at 23.15 giving this tons of value. Troy wins this game behind Vidal on the ground.
