Tennessee @ Oklahoma Expert Pick Against the Spread
Hey, Ben Rasa here. Let’s walk through my favorite college football bet against the spread for Week 4. We’re looking at the Tennessee-Oklahoma game in Norman for this one. Right off the bat, make sure you shop this number using our college football odds tool, as there are 6.5’s out there (including at FanDuel), which is the spot we want to target. The Volunteers come into town destroying everyone in their path, and although this is the toughest challenge, they will keep it rolling.
Tennessee has scored 50-plus points in all three games and last week somehow had 65 points in the first half against Kent State. I don’t care who you are playing; that’s almost impossible to do and right now nobody can stop this offense
Quarterback Nico Iamaleava has answered every challenge, and due to blowouts, this entire team is well rested. It plays at extreme tempo.
I do not see anything about their gameplan changing on the road here against Oklahoma.
The Sooners also are 3-0 but have been far less impressive than what Tennessee has done. The season started with a 51-3 thrashing of Temple, but a 16-12 win over Houston and a 15-point win over Tulane are a little shaky. The thing that concerns me with Oklahoma is the injury situation, as it’s gravitated towards two key positions.
Quarterback Jackson Arnold will be without two key wide receivers, and two more are still sitting with injury tags even if they ultimately play. Similarly, the offensive line is without two key pieces. Tennessee is not a defensive juggernaut, but when a team is down multiple pieces and needs to keep pace to stay in games, this is not an ideal spot.
I already thought Tennessee was the better team here, but the injury situation solidified my position. I’ll call for the Vols to go into Norman and emerge with a big-time win.

East Carolina @ Liberty Expert Pick Against the Spread
The Pirates played like the better team but came out on the losing end against App State. They look to bounce back against an equally tough Liberty opponent in this rough two game stretch. This week is about two things, fixing any secondary issues as quickly as possible and taking advantage of Liberty in the schedule.
We just saw ECU torched in the air last week and we know Liberty’s Kaidon Salter can throw. But Liberty faces a challenge next game with App State looming, and we just saw what happened to them. There’s a good chance ECU and their 10-2 ATS record as a road dog of 6-plus points have a shot to hang.
Keeping the Liberty pass offense off the field and staying physical in a game where Liberty may already think they’ve won. This might be it for ECU coach Mike Houston so there’s desperation in the air.
The Flames have yet to cover a spread this year, that won’t change on Saturday

Rutgers @ Virginia Tech Expert Pick Against the Spread
Hey, what’s up, The Profit Isaiah here. It’s been a rocky college football season for us, but we got back on the right track with a +1.5U showing last week. I think we can keep rolling this week.
Now, I’m a sicko, so that means I won’t shy away from low-end Power 4 and Group of 5 matchups to fill out my betting card. Few sicko games stand out more than today’s Rutgers-Virginia Tech contest.
Rutgers is a tidy 2-0 with wins over FCS Howard and Akron. Virginia Tech is 2-1 with wins over Marshall and Old Dominion but a loss to Vanderbilt. While Rutgers is untested, this team is solid enough to cover as a field-goal home dog.
Looking at the expected points added (EPA) data, we can easily make a projection in Rutgers’ favor. The folks at College Football Insiders make this Rutgers -6, but we can find several +3.5’s still out there.
Let’s ride with the underrated Scarlet Knights off a bye. Under head coach Greg Schiano’s second tenure, Rutgers is 9-5-2 ATS as a road dog and 6-3 ATS with a rest advantage.
