College Football Week 5 Player Prop Picks & Predictions
When you place any bet, what do you consider? Perhaps you use per-game averages to make projections for players. Maybe you like to buy low after bad games or sell high after good ones. Or perhaps you just like to trust your gut. But hwat I told you that you could place winning bets simply by using the books against each other?
With OddsShopper’s Portfolio EV betting tools, you can find boatloads of profitable college football bets with positive expected value (+EV). You can even bet on them super-fast with our mass entry tool. Currently, it’s compatible with every major sport, not just college football. Here are the top three picks, per Portfolio EV, as of publication. Two are in games that will kick off at noon ET, but the final is in one that doesn’t get underway until late this evening. You’ve got plenty of time to get action down.
Our college football betting model changes with the market, which means you should check it to see if any new picks are trading with +EV in case you missed one.
So, what college football player prop picks does the model recommend taking for Week 5? For starters, Ole Miss wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr. looks like a player to fade on the yardage market.
Wells’ receiving yardage prop is trading at a bloated 50.5 on Fliff. Most other books have this prop set to between 44.5 and 42.5, and they’re charging a similar price for it. That means we’re getting +EV on the under 50.5
The late bet is on tonight’s Utah-Arizona game. The model recommends fading Wildcats receiver Tetairoa McMillan, whose receiving yardage prop is all the way up to 100.5 on FanDuel.
While McMillan is off to a strong start to the season, expecting him to get another 100-yard game — especailly against a tough Utah defense — is unrealistic. That’s why most other books have this prop set to 90.5.
