Free College Football Expert Pick Today: Texas A&M-USC

Yesterday’s Arkansas State-Bowling Green bet was easy money. That over crushed it. Those teams don’t play defense, and it’s a bowl game — it doesn’t get much simpler than that. Sometimes everything lines up. If you were on it, congratulations. If you weren’t, don’t worry — there’s more action ahead.

Free CFB Expert Pick: Texas A&M -3

We’re looking at the late-night bowl game: Texas A&M-USC. The spread is bouncing around a bit, but I’m taking Texas A&M -3 (-115). There are some 3.5s and 4.5s out there, so make sure you shop for the best number.

Texas A&M is simply better than USC. Sure, there are some transfers and opt-outs on both sides, but it’s not enough to sway this game significantly.

Texas A&M went 8-4 this season. It struggled a bit down the stretch, losing three of its last four games, but it was battle-tested against solid competition. From its opener against Notre Dame to tough games against Auburn and Texas, it’s faced quality opponents.

The Aggies look intact enough to handle business here. Yes, Conner Weigman is out, but Marcel Reed has stepped in and played well. I like their chances, especially against a USC team that has been disappointing all season.

Said USC team went 6-6. After it beat LSU to open the year, I thought big things might be coming, but it fell apart. It has lost key weapons, especially at wide receiver, with guys like Zachariah Branch entering the portal. Its defense was shaky all year and won’t improve in this matchup.

Texas A&M will have an edge in the trenches, particularly on the ground. We’ve seen USC struggle against physical teams, and now it’s facing an SEC opponent. That’s a bad recipe for the Trojans.

I’m laying the points with Texas A&M; -3 at -115 is good, and anything in that range works for me.

Best Texas A&M-USC Bet: Texas A&M -3 (-115, DraftKings)
