Taylen Green H/L Than 26.5 Passing Attempts

The Arkansas quarterback has a big task leading the Razorbacks into Auburn as 3-point road dogs. Green will have to keep his squad in the game with his arm and head more than anything else, which opens some value. One thing to look at in this matchup is the other side, as Auburn’s quarterback switch to Hank Brown ignited the air assault last week. Between the two quarterbacks, this might come down to who is moving the ball better in the air, with Green looking to keep up with the home tempo of Brown.

Stokastic’s CFB DFS projections have Green finishing north of 34 attempts, factoring in the faster pace of the game leading to more scoring. The clock stops on incomplete passes, as we know, so any shootout comes with missed chances that slow down the clock — not the tempo. Auburn coach Hugh Freeze talked about the dangers of throwing into the Arkansas secondary, but I’m more concerned with the Razorbacks getting to Brown.

We should see some scoring with a total finishing high 50’s, low 60’s. Green struggled last week against UAB but still threw 26 times in the comeback win. With a chance to improve on his performance, and the offense throwing on multiple levels — short to deep — I like Green for 27-plus passing attempts.

Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: Taylen Green Higher Than 26.5 Passing Attempts

Woody Marks H/L Than 59.5 Rushing Yards

Suddenly we are talking about Lincoln Riley’s … defense? That’s not a good sign for the University of Michigan despite the Wolverines getting 5.5 points against the Trojans. The fact is that Riley’s offense is humming with Miller Moss leading the air game and Woody Marks pounding it on the ground. The Wolverines are having it tough enough to keep up with the Trojans on offense, let alone in the scoring department.

Marks might see added time since the Trojans are running out a two-score lead. This game won’t get too out of hand to limit the time we see the USC starters; if anything, Michigan is a “run it up” candidate based on previous years. As far as Marks, he comes off a 100-yard game against Utah State and should help power this offense.

The Wolverines are begging Donovan Edwards to have a breakout game because they could be cooked without it. Even after making a change at quarterback, the Michigan offense might see Alex Orji in some uncomfortable passing situations. Marks will be the primary focus of USC’s run game but also in close-out mode.
