Semaj Morgan H/L Than 31.5 Receiving Yards

Not much changed in the first week against Fresno State for Semaj Morgan. As a receiver with spotty performances last year, he opened up with just two grabs and one rushing attempt. Granted, it was a convincing 30-10 win for Michigan that left Morgan in a similar spot. Now we ask ourselves what exactly changes with Davis Warren and the offense against visiting Texas. The Longhorns present a far tougher defensive puzzle to solve than last week’s opponent. The Wolverines barely got production out of the wide receiver core and might struggle again.

Morgan isn’t in a breakthrough position here even with a possible big play looming. Colston Loveland was the main focus at tight end last week, and Morgan still has Tyler Morris to battle for grabs. This is a smaller market play on the books that is available for us on Underdog — worth the play here with a guy who should struggle to hit 25 yards. Warren may try to get the ball in Morgan’s hands on a quick route, but those won’t exceed 30 yards.

Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: Semaj Morgan Lower Than 31.5 Receiving Yards

Preston Stone H/L Than 2.0 Passing Touchdowns

SMU is one of the few teams playing its third game, and quarterback Preston Stone looks to be in solid form. Coming off a pair of touchdown passes, Stone helped guide SMU to its second win of the year. The key to both SMU and BYU bringing home wins last week was offense. It’s going to help direct us this week too.

Both teams racked up over 500 yards of total offense, and SMU was further helped by a pair of turnovers. Both played cupcakes but should roll that offensive execution into this week. That means Stone is going to have to go drive for drive with BYU’s Jake Retzlaff. It’s not just the quarterbacks; it’s the scoring itself.

Both teams should be aggressive, but there’s a reason the Mustangs are laying 11.5 points as of now. Expect the air assault right away as Stone builds a 30-pass attempt night. That will result in at least two touchdowns.
