Although the NBA playoffs are in full swing, let’s not forget about Euroleague. Their season wraps up with the championship-deciding game on Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. ET. Unlike the NBA, which uses a best-of-seven playoff system, Euroleague uses a hybrid format: the quarterfinals are best-of-five series, but once only four teams remain, each team plays a do-or-die contest until a champion is crowned. Let’s dive into the Olympiacos-Real Madrid betting odds for this year’s championship as I make my prediction for the finale.

Olympiacos vs. Real Madrid Euroleague Championship Odds
Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Olympiacos: -146 | Real Madrid: +120
Over 152.5: -110 | Under 152.5: -110
These teams ranked first and second in net rating this season. Olympiacos recorded a Euroleague-best net rating of 10.9 behind its fifth-ranked offense (119.4) and its first-ranked defense (108.5). Real Madrid was close behind in net rating at 7.4, but it boasted the fourth-ranked offense (119.5) and second-ranked defense (112.1). Unsurprisingly, the books are favoring Olympiacos, albeit by a slight margin.
Olympiacos swept Real Madrid in the clubs’ two regular-season meetings. The Greek club won the first contest by a narrow two-point margin last October before scoring a much more impressive 13-point win in January. Olympiacos star Sasha Vezenkov, who won this year’s MVP Award and ranked second among all Euroleague players in player efficiency rating (PER), led the way in both games with 38 total points.
Real Madrid lacks an individual player capable of answering Vezenkov’s production. The club has leaned on Dzanan Musa to fill that role, but the 24-year-old swingman ranked only ninth in PER (21.9) and hasn’t shot as efficiently as Vezenkov. Further, Real Madrid also won’t have backup center Vincent Poirier, who, in the club’s last meeting with Olympiacos, led the team in rebounds and ranked second in box plus-minus. Poirier also ranked third on the team in PER (18.8) this season.
A weird disparity exists in the market for Sunday’s championship game at the moment: FanDuel Sportsbook lists Olympiacos at odds of -146 to win, but DraftKings Sportsbook has the Greek club at odds of -190 to win. Let’s lock in the better price on Olympiacos as Vezenkov looks to cap off his MVP season with a championship win against a shorthanded opponent.
