Conor McGregor-Michael Chandler Betting Odds Update: Superstar Fighter Entering UFC’s Anti-Doping Program

Latest Conor McGregor Update

McGregor captured headlines on Friday, May 19 when he claimed his re-entry into the UFC’s USADA testing pool was “done,” adding that a date for his bout with Michael Chandler would be announced soon.

McGregor dropped out of the USADA pool back in 2021 after he broke his leg during a fight against Dustin Poirier. The operations necessary for him to recover from the injury likely would’ve forced him to take medications that aren’t approved by the USADA.

The USADA requires fighters to be entered into the pool for at least six months, and because it remains unclear when (or whether) McGregor has re-entered the pool, the earliest possible date for the bout remains a mystery.

Connor McGregor-Michael Chandler Betting Odds

This fight is a pick’em at DraftKings Sportsbook. Connor McGregor and Michael Chandler both own outright odds of -110 to win the as-of-yet unscheduled bout. McGregor, who has previously won the UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Championship, last won a fight in 2020. He lost two fights against Poirier in 2021 and is yet to re-enter the octagon.

Chandler has more recent experience in the octagon. Although he is also coming off a loss, which also came against Poirier, Chandler picked up a win against Tony Ferguson in 2022. Still, the 37-year-old Chandler is 1-3 through his last four fights and could use a big win against a higher-profile fighter like McGregor.

Of course, McGregor must both re-enter the USADA pool and return negative test results before this fight can take place. While the odds of the promised McGregor-Chandler bout taking place are trending in the right direction, UFC fans should keep a close eye on this story as this season of the Ultimate Fighter rolls out on ESPN.
