On Tuesday, Nov. 7, legal sports betting relaunched in Florida via Hard Rock Bet. The development came just under two years after legal sports betting was suspended due to legal challenges in late 2021. But for Floridians looking to get some skin in the game — how do you bet on sports in Florida?
You’ll first need to register with Hard Rock Bet, a sports-wagering app run through the Seminole Tribe. A spokesperson for the tribe said that it was “offering limited access to existing Florida customers to test its Hard Rock Bet platform,” but that “limited access” doesn’t appear difficult to acquire.
You’ll have to take an extra step to get through the “limited access” barrier. Some users on X, formerly Twitter, reported being “waitlisted” for the service, but added that they were greenlit within the hour after signing up for a Hard Rock Unity account with the same email as their Hard Rock Bet account.
