49ers-Vikings Player Props & Anytime Touchdown Bet for Monday (Oct. 23)

Before the season started, this looked like it would be one of the better Monday Night Football games the NFL had to offer. No, it’s just another primetime snoozefest. The good news is plenty of player prop bets have caught my eye for this NFC matchup. Let’s dive into the best 49ers-Vikings player prop picks and anytime touchdown scorer bets for Week 7’s edition of Monday Night Football.

49ers-Vikings Player Prop

The San Francisco 49ers have health concerns coming into Monday Night. Deebo Samuel will be out for the next two weeks, and Christian McCaffrey is dealing with an oblique injury that kept him out of the fourth quarter of the 49ers’ loss last week, their only loss this season. Reports are that McCaffrey will see his normal workload, but we’ll have to wait and see. What we do know is how valuable Brandon Aiyuk is to this offense.

Aiyuk and quarterback Brock Purdy have an unmatched connection. Even with missing a game, Aiyuk leads the 49ers in targets, receiving yards and yards per reception. Now, the 49ers are missing a top gadget player in the league in Samuel, who has accounted for 32 targets. If you want to back the vig on 4.5 receptions, the best price is -140 at bet365 and -160 at FanDuel. So we’ll pivot to his longest reception of over 23.5 yards on FanDuel — 2 yards lower than any book.

There’s no question how disappointing the Minnesota Vikings have been this season. At 2-5, with both wins coming against the bottom of the league in the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers, their defense has failed to keep them in games due to their problems in the secondary. They’ve surrendered some big numbers against some of the top wide receivers in the game. Keenan Allen put on a masterclass in Week 3 by dropping over 200 yards through the air, while Devonta Smith of the Eagles had 131 in Week 2 on Monday Night Football. Aiyuk is the next to put on a show in primetime against the Vikings. Back Aiyuk to catch a long one on Monday Night and cash this player prop for the third time this season.

49ers-Vikings Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Let’s have fun on both sides. Since we’re already backing Aiyuk, we’ll target T.J. Hockenson, the top target for the Vikings with Justin Jefferson sidelined. There’s no question how elite the 49ers defense is, but the game script should favor Hockenson and the Vikings as 6.5-point underdogs.

Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football was the last time Hockenson found the end zone. He found it twice that night on prime time. The targets inside the red zone are why we’re backing the elite tight end. He’s been targeted seven times inside the 20 and three times inside the 10. The other option we have for the Vikings is running back Alexander Mattison, but I have little faith in him having a successful day on the ground or even in the red zone, as he’s averaging under 4 yards per carry and the best odds are just +180.

49ers-Vikings Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bet: T.J. Hockenson +230 at FanDuel
