Latest Baker Mayfield Injury Update (10/26/23 at 7:16 AM ET): Baker Mayfield is expected to play in tonight’s Buccaneers-Bills game, per NBC Sports.

On Monday, Mayfield stated that he “aggravated his knee injury he suffered in the loss to the Saints in Week 6 and it’s nothing more than pain tolerance that he deals with all the time.” This is good news for Tampa fans as the Buccaneers only have one more day to prepare for the Bills’ top 10-rated defense.

Mayfield is enjoying his best season as a starting quarterback with the Buccaneers after two undefined roles with Carolina and Los Angeles. He has already thrown for 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns, while his 65% completion percentage is the highest of his seven-year career.

Baker is no stranger to injury, suffering multiple shoulder and knee injuries throughout his career, including surgery to fix a torn labrum in 2022; however, he has not missed significant time in the past. The Buccaneers are currently 8.5-point underdogs. Second-year quarterback Kyle Trask is listed as Mayfield’s backup and has only thrown nine career passes.

If the final Baker Mayfield injury update states he is unable to go Thursday night, I expect this spread to move to double digits. Go to our NFL odds page to see the latest line movements.
